Kid Zone Accounts
Minors through the age of 12 are eligible for our Kid Zone Account.
Every time a child makes a $25 deposit, they can draw a prize from the MSCU Treasure Chest. Treasure Chests are available at our Merrillville and Griffith locations, adding an exciting reward to the habit of saving.

Teen Zone Accounts
Teens aged 13 through 17 are eligible for our Teen Zone Account.
With a Teen Zone Account, teens can:
- Practice managing their own money
- Learn the importance of consistent saving
- Build confidence and responsibility in a safe, supportive environment
This account is a great next step for teens preparing for future financial milestones like first jobs, cars, college, or independent banking.
The Teen Zone Account helps teens take ownership of their finances while parents maintain peace of mind.
National Youth Month (April)
To celebrate and encourage youth savings, the credit union will match one deposit, up to $25, per Kid Zone Account during National Youth Month. The deposit made to the account and the matching deposit by the credit union must remain in the account for 90 days. If the funds are withdrawn prior to that time, the funds deposited by the credit union will be forfeited.
